As part of the College of Arts and Sciences, our curriculum encourages exploration across disciplines. Many students double major or minor giving ample opportunities to pursue your passion.

Dive into student-run media outlets, try new roles, and discover what excites you — or what doesn’t. Develop your own video game. Broadcast for WIUX student radio. Capture photos for IU's only student-produced fashion magazine. It’s all part of the process from the first moment you step foot on campus.

On average, Media School students complete two internships before graduation, gaining clarity and confidence in their career direction.

Study a systems-based approach to game development, and transform your ideas into a compelling virtual reality.
Gain international expertise from the Hamilton Lugar School with media training from The Media School to create impactful stories across cultures and borders.
Develop the skills needed for a career in news. Concentrate in either news reporting and editing or public relations.
Learn to make, manage, and think about media in new and innovative ways. Choose from eight concentrations, including production and sports media.
Use marketing and communication strategies to build smart, effective ad campaigns. Chose your path in either creative or planning and management.
