Katherine Simpson died Nov. 15, 2022, at age 22. 

She graduated from IU in May 2022. Katy then moved to Chicago to become director of student services at the Chicago Portfolio School.

She was very creative and “won her job at the Chicago Portfolio School in part for the way she kerned her type,” according to her obituary.
