Chelsea Wald received a grant from the European Journalism Centre to support her study on the connection between organic waste and food security in developing countries. The Innovation in Development Reporting grant was awarded to six finalists selected from 155 pitches. Wald’s project, titled “Waste Not: Salvaging Food Security from the Rubbish Bin,” will be conducted in Indonesia, Haiti and South Africa. (February 2018)
