Lathay Pegues is the president and founder of JohnTom’s Barbecue, a barbecue sauce company that offers specialty products. Pegues, as well as Terrell Cooper, BA’05, and Rodney Robinson, BS’98 (Kelley School of Business), founded the company in 2006. The company’s retail and wholesale footprint includes shelf space in Kroger, Target, Fresh Thyme, IU Health Methodist Hospital, Ball State University, Indiana State University and more. In July 2019, IU Dining awarded JohnTom’s an exclusive partnership for catering across the IUB campus. (October 2019)
