Jim Kendrick is an associate professor in film and digital media at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He is the author of three books: "Darkness in the Bliss-Out: A Reconsideration of the Films of Steven Spielberg" (2014), "Film Violence: History, Ideology, Genre" (2009) and "Hollywood Bloodshed: Screen Violence and 1980s American Cinema" (2009). He lives in Waco, Texas, with his wife Cassie and their children, James and Lily. (December 2015)
