Joshua Budd is a school coordinator in Tanzania. As a young man from rural Indiana, Budd struggled with the foreign language requirement of his IU degree. He pursued Swahili in hopes of smaller classes and close relationships with professors, which led to an African Studies minor. Budd moved to Chicago after graduation to pursue filmmaking, and now enjoys his work in East Africa. (March 2018)
