Mary (Biersdorfer) Armstrong is an instructional designer at Aveda Corp. in Minnesota. She completed a graduate certificate in instructional design and technology at Florida State University in 2021. She also volunteers as a communications consultant for the Minority Business Growth Alliance, an economic empowerment nonprofit in the Twin Cities. Previously, Armstrong was a staff editor at media outlets including The New York Times, Minnesota Public Radio, the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Gannett Suburban Newspapers in White Plains, New York.
