Mark Hume joined Shaw Media as the west suburban editor. Previously, he was a deputy senior content editor for the Chicago Tribune. He has been the visual team leader at the News-Press in Fort Myers, Florida. He has worked as a photographer for The Herald-Times; as the chief bureau photographer in Nicaragua for The Associated Press; and as a staff photographer at the El Paso Herald-Post. (September 2023)
