Sherri (Burrell) Monteith retired as director of public policy at American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio, at the end of 2021, after 32 years. Monteith began her career at The Associated Press in Indianapolis, later moving to the Commercial Dispatch in Columbus, Mississippi, and United Press International in Jackson. In Fort Wayne, she worked at Fort Wayne Newspapers and served in communications roles at St. Joseph Medical Center before joining AEP. (February 2022)
