Dallas Dinger died June 8, 2022, at age 95. 

After graduating from Hoagland High School in 1945, Dinger farmed, then worked at Tokheim and International Harvester. 

In 1950, he was drafted to serve in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was wounded in combat and awarded the Purple Heart. After discharge from the Army, he studied journalism at IU, reporting for the Indiana Daily Student and participating in the Wesley Foundation. After graduation, he began a career as an editor at Purdue University in the Agricultural Information Dept.
